This is the time map that I created. It consists 18 images of the steps to fold a origami crane and the images are in a linear order, conveying the idea of a process of time. By looking from the front of the time map, the object seems to compress all the steps into one image but if you look above or to the side of the object you will see all the steps.
All of the images are connect by individual pieces of plexi glass and wire.
If I were to make this again, I would consider printing the last image (which is the completed crane) on acetate and leave the last image as an empty grey background so the images will be more consistent. I would also try to aline the pleix glass in a perfect straight line although it is very hard since there are 17 pieces of plexi glass and the acetate needs to fit in between the plexi glass.
